Founded in 1911 the St George Junior Rugby Football League governs the clubs in local and NSWRL Conference Competitions within the St George District.
The district has 9 affiliated clubs (listed below) and over 1200 players in competitions held from April to September each year in age groups from Under 6 to Open Age, and across three (3) different forms of the game from Tackle, League Tag and League Touch.
The Arncliffe Scots Club has been playing Rugby League in the St. George District since 1926.
Over this period Scots has become one of the most renowned and respected clubs in Rugby League, its famous jersey and colours are recognised Australia wide. It has established a name for Sportsmanship and Fair Play and is held in high esteem in all Rugby League circles. The impressive record of competition wins and the number of players the club has prepared for St. George and higher honours is second to none
The Brighton Seagulls were founded in December 1965 by Bruce Hartley and John May.
In 1966 they entered four teams into the St George Junior League with Peter Hamlin as the clubs President. ome of our former players who have played first grade are Jason Stevens, Geoff Hardy, Bart Williams, Brad MacKay, Kurt Landers, Garry Jenkins, Randall Barge, Brad Perry, Greg Totten, Steve Funnell, Darren Brown, David Nui, Scott Freestone, Bill Noke, Scott Thompson and Terry Sands.
Earlwood Saints JRLFC
The Earlwood Saints are an Australian rugby league league football club based in Earlwood, New South Wales. They were formed in 1965
The Colts commenced playing in 1959.
The Club is proud to have had many players who have played first grade for St George including Merv Boatswain, Connell Byrnes, John Conway, Greg Duval, John French, Ray Grigg, Michael Lockwood, Vince O’Sullivan, Garry Newham and Garry Souter and probably our best known representative in Michael Sorridimi who played in 88 first grade games for St George.
The Kogarah Cougars were founded in 1995.
Our home ground is at Todd Park which is in the Kogarah Council Municipality in Sydney. It is located on the Princess Highway at Blakehurst and is the ‘gateway’ to the tranquil Carss Bush Park Reserve, on the edge of Kogarah Bay.
1961 saw the foundation of the Penshurst RSL Junior Rugby league Club.
Renown United is a family club which has been serving the community for over 60 years.
Renown United Sports Club, is historically a rugby league club, based in the St George district of New South Wales and will celebrate our 70th anniversary in 2020. We offer sport for all different age groups, ranging from Under 6’s to under 21’s, as well as A grade.
