One of the greatest players in rugby league history; a member of the Australian Rugby League Hall of Fame. Came to St George for two seasons near the end of his career, and though hindered by injuries still produced some excellent football when fit, most notably in the preliminary final of 1984, when as five-eighth was the DragonsÂ’ best player in a controversial loss to Parramatta. Played for Cronulla in the Â’73 Grand Final at age 18 and was selected to tour with the Kangaroos the same season; played in the first State of Origin match in 1980; won the Rothmans Medal in 1975 and was named Dally M player of the year in 1981; captained Australia in 1981. Represented Australia in 1983 when playing for St George
