Back-row forward originally from Canowindra who developed a reputation as one of the best defenders in the premiership. Came to the club in 1969 and after making six appearances in his first year was a constant figure in the DragonsÂ’ second row for much of the next four seasons. Injuries limited him to just two games in 1974 and 13 in 1975, and when the club was slow to sign him in 1976, he moved to Easts, under Jack Gibson, who had coached him at Kogarah in 1970 and 1971. Played in the 1971 and 1975 Grand Finals. Captained Port Kembla to win the Illawarra premiership in 1980 under the coaching of Graeme Langlands.

Played a total of 100 games for St George
