Martin Offiah

Only played 14 games for St George in 1991, his one season at Kogarah, but made a huge impact, scoring 11 tries in his first eight games, including a hat-trick against Easts, and bringing gravitas to a young team that included just two other internationals (Wally Fullerton Smith and Brad Mackay). St George had lost four games straight and were 10th when Offiah made his first appearance in round 9 of 1991. They beat Souths 30–6 and won eight of their next 10 games, to climb to fourth before fading at the end of the season. He finished as Saints’ leading tryscorer for the year
