Like his famous uncle, a product of Renown United. Made his Test debut at age 20 in 2001, a year after first appearing in the top grade with the Dragons. Scored 11 tries in his 15 Tests, but missed the chance to play in more internationals, including the 2008 World Cup, when he signed to play rugby union in France. The only Dragons players to appear in more Tests as a centre than Mark Gasnier’s 15 are Reg Gasnier (39 Tests) and Graeme Langlands (25 Tests as a centre). Joint Dragons player of the year in 2006 (with Jason Ryles), when he was the club’s leading tryscorer (18 tries in 23 games). Named co-captain in 2007 but played only six games late in the year because of a torn pectoral muscle suffered in that year’s Charity Shield. Was sole captain in 2008. Returned to St George Illawarra in 2010 to be part of Saints’ winning Grand Final and World Club Championship teams.

Played a total of 174 games games for St George Illawarra
