Brighton Seagulls junior who appeared in 246 first-grade games: 87 for Illawarra and 159 for St George. Only four men — Ben Hornby, Ben Creagh, Jason Nightingale and Norm Provan — have played more games for one of or any combination of St George, Illawarra and St George Illawarra. Started at lock in the 1992 Grand Final (with Brad Mackay on the bench), on the bench in 1993 (coming on in the first minute as a makeshift prop after Jason Stevens broke his thumb) and at hooker in 1996. During his career played multiple matches as a centre, five-eighth, lock, second-rower and hooker. Also played briefly as a prop and, inevitably, was often used off the bench
