Made his debut for St George in 1922, and for nine seasons was a club stalwart. ‘Harry Flower is one of the hardest front-rank workers in the game,’ observed Rugby League News in 1929. ‘What he lacks in weight he makes up in toughness and energy.’ Flower played in the 1930 grand final loss to Wests, in what proved to be his last first-grade appearance
