A five-eighth or centre from Renown United who was seen as the natural successor to Brian Clay as the St George No.6, but injures derailed his career. Was Saints five-eighth in the 1963 Grand Final, when he was just 18 years and 41 days old, and remains the youngest player to a member of a Grand Final-winning side. Scored St Georges first try in the 1966 Grand Final, when he partnered Ken Maddison in the centres. Was in the centres again a year later in the preliminary final, alongside Reg Gasnier, when Saints lost to Canterbury
