Free-striding Fijian prop or second rower who played league with Rochdale in England before joining St George in 1968. Broke his leg and appeared in only six games in his first season in Sydney. Played in Saints finals team in 1969 and 1970, and was leading the clubs best-and-fairest competition in 1971 when he lost form and finished the year in the reserves. Regained his first-grade place late in 1972, when Saints were beaten in the preliminary final. In January 1973, Toga collapsed during a training session and later died of tetanus poisoning, reputedly the result of an infected cut sustained while diving among coral in Fiji during the off season
Played a total of 65 games for St George
