Registrations for the 2026 junior rugby league season are officially open across the St George District, offering families access to one of the region’s most inclusive and well supported junior sports programs.

Following a standout year of participation, the district will once again provide free registration for all U6–U12 Mini and Mod League players, along with a $100 rebate for female tackle participants aged U13+. This continued support ensures even more young players can enjoy the game without the pressure of rising costs.

This program is proudly funded by St George Leagues Club and delivered in partnership with the St George District Rugby League Football Club, reflecting our shared commitment to keeping local rugby league affordable, welcoming and community focused.

Junior league offers children invaluable opportunities, from building confidence and skills, to creating friendships and experiencing the benefits of team sport.

For households with multiple young athletes, the financial relief is substantial.  The 2026 season will begin on Saturday, 4 April, with nearly 2,000 players expected to take the field across age groups from Under 6s to Open Age, including both Tackle and League Tag competitions.

This ongoing initiative reflects the strong partnership between St George Leagues Club, St George District Rugby League, and St George Junior Rugby League. All working together to support families, grow participation, and ensure rugby league remains a sport where everyone in the district has a place.
